  • On 10 February 2006, the Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq announced the final results of the parliamentary elections. The United Iraqi Alliance won 128 seats, the Democratic Patriotic Alliance of Kurdistan 53 seats, the Iraqi Accord Front 44 seats, the Iraqi National List 25 seats, the Iraqi National Dialogue Front 11 seats, the Kurdistan Islamic Union 5 seats, the Reconciliation and Liberation Bloc 3 seats and the Message Party 2 seats; the Turkmen Front, Rafidain List, Mithal al-Alusi Iraqi Nation List and the Yazidi Movement for Reform and Progress each obtained one seat. There was general acceptance of these results, despite the reservations indicated.
    - وفي 10/2/2006 أعلنت المفوضية العليا المستقلة للانتخابات في العراق النتائج النهائية للانتخابات النيابية، حيث حصل الائتلاف العراقي الموحد على 128 مقعداً، كما حصل التحالف الكردستاني على 53 مقعداً وحصلت جبهة التوافق العراقية على 44 مقعداً، والقائمة العراقية الوطنية على 25 مقعداً، والجبهة العراقية للحوار الوطني على 11 مقعداً، والاتحاد الإسلامي الكردستاني 5 مقاعد، وكتلة المصالحة والتحرير 3 مقاعد، والرساليون مقعدين، كما حصل كل من الجبهة التركمانية العراقية وقائمة الرافدين وقائمة مثال الألوسي للأمة العراقية والحركة الإيزيدية من أجل الإصلاح والتقدم على مقعد واحد، وقد تم قبول عام لهذه النتائج رغم التحفظات التي أشرنا إليها.
